Dizzy Dean Quote
August 8, 2011 at 12:13 pm
One of the joys of my childhood was watching the Saturday afternoon baseball game broadcast by Pee Wee Reese and Dizzy Dean. Dizzy would tell some hilarious stories and, if the action on the field became too boring, could be counted on to sin “The Wabash Cannonball”!

Larry,
I think I would have enjoyed listening to them. When I was reading all the Dizzy Dean quotes, I was roaring with laughter.
Which one of the two was considered the color man?

Hmmmm….that should have read “sing”…but, considering his renditions of the song, “sin” might be the correct word after all.

Pee Wee was the play-by-play announcer. You couldn’t possibly find anyone more colorful than Dizzy.

Larry,
I figured that from his great comments.
