      Thanks, Greg
I thought it a perfect song for today, and I’m glad it is one of your songs!

    Loudon Wainwright on KTCC 🙂
I’m a fan of his songs and music for decades and finally saw him live in 2003. I still regret that I couldn’t make it to his concert in my hometown in 1984 but at least it was broadcasted on TV later. Though I love nearly every song of Loudon Wainwright, in case of the Swimming song I prefer the McGarrigle Sisters cover off their first LP. The german cover by a local band (better known over here than the original song) is also done well and quite happy:

Music makes the world a happier place. People can make it too as you wrote, but dangerous disoriented idiots can also be found anywhere. Just checked CNN, tanks on the empty streets of Boston is a strange sight.

      Birgit,
I did play his skunk song once but that was a while ago.

I didn’t know the McGarrigles sang this. I’ll have to hunt it down. The German version is really fun to hear-lively and bright. y foot is tapping right along!

Empty streets in Boston are strange enough, but I have never seen so many police and so many police cars ever. I can’t imagine how this guy can hide.

Music is amazing. I can match any mood or even change any mood.

We will never rid the world of dangerous idiots!

This is one of my favorite songs, as you can imagine. One problem is some of the dangerous idiots are elected officials. Hope you enjoy this version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lktqrPDxMHw
