Now that’s what I call a nice slab of bacon. In rodeos they have an event for kids called, “Mutton Busting”. It’s where young cowpokes ride sheep similar to bull riding or bronco riding events for adults. It’s usually a race with the kids riding on the sheep to see who wins or stays on the sheep the longest. This kid on the hog could be called “Bacon Busting”. 🙂 I think pigs are too smart to let a bunch of kids ride them around a rodeo arena.

This one looks like a pet, a pig instead of a pony. The kid isn’t at all frightened. He’s holding the reins.
I suppose it could become bacon, but I bet they sell it instead.

My old neighborhood in North Dallas had many homes worth over a million dollars. The day after the tornado that struck last October, many backyard fences were knocked down and a couple of pet pigs escaped and were roaming the neighborhood. Their owner’s posted pictures on the website, “Next Door” and the pet pigs were recovered. These weren’t small pot belly pigs, but large hogs. To each their own. 🙂

I am amazed. I never imagined having pet pigs bigger than pot-bellied pigs. I may have seen kids competing on TV, but it was on calves, not sheep.
